Joy In Learning teachers implement a developmentally appropriate, educational curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. It is the purpose of the Joy In Learning Child Care Centers to enhance the total growth and development of each child through the general and specific techniques of enrichment designed to:
· Promote physical adeptness
· Encourage emotional development
· Enhance social competence
· Provide opportunities for cognitive learning
The objectives of the Joy In Learning Child Care Centers are to:
· Demonstrate opportunity and informal conversation the Joy inherent In all
Learning.
· Provide an atmosphere of respect and caring for young children and each other. The ultimate goal is to enhance the child’s self esteem while facilitating his or her potential for optimal personal development.
· Schedule a balanced day of activity, rest, nourishment, and creative involvement.
· Supply materials and equipment conducive to learning about self, family, community, environment, math and science, music and art, literature, and architecture.
Joy In Learning’s Maryland State Department of Education approved curriculum includes the domains identified with the Voluntary State Curriculum to provide learning experiences to help children develop and maintain the basic skills necessary for successful school performance.
